Design of Ash Storage for Fly Ash Pneumatic Conveying System
According to the characteristics of pneumatic conveying, the ash silo should be located as close as possible to the static dust collector area. Coal fired power plants attach great importance to the factory environment, and fly ash has become a commodity for external sales. Therefore, the conveying distance needs to be determined according to the specific conditions of the project. The design of power plant fly ash storage silo is determined based on process requirements. Shandong Juheng Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. often classifies the design according to the pressure, function, bottom shape, structural form, etc. of the ash silo.
The classification of working pressure in the ash silo is commonly referred to as positive pressure pneumatic conveying or negative pressure pneumatic conveying:
Negative pressure ash silo: used for negative pressure pneumatic conveying systems; When the positive pressure pneumatic conveying system adopts a suction type dust collector on the top of the ash silo, and the ash silo is in a negative pressure state, it still belongs to the negative pressure ash silo;
Positive pressure ash silo: used for positive pressure pneumatic conveying systems.

Classification of Ash Storage Functions:
Terminal ash silo: This is a commonly used ash silo in pneumatic conveying systems, which stores dry ash and rotates dry ash or wet ash outward according to user needs;
Intermediate ash silo: used for output buffering and intermediate conveying of the front and rear two-stage conveying systems, adopting a two-stage fly ash pneumatic conveying system or a combined connection system of one-stage pneumatic conveying and hydraulic conveying.
Classification of Ash Storage Bottom Shapes:
Flat bottom ash silo: increase the ash storage capacity of the ash silo and reduce the height of the ash silo. The ash silo using this method must have an ash silo gasification air system;
Cone ash silo: For use with a small amount of stored ash and no need to control the height of the ash silo, it is important to note that the angle between the cone wall and the horizontal plane should not be less than 60 degrees.
The final classification of ash storage structure forms:
Reinforced concrete structure ash silo: used for storing terminal ash silos with large amounts of ash; Can be designed as open-air, semi outdoor, enclosed ash storage, etc;
Steel structure ash silo: used for intermediate ash silos with small ash storage capacity.
