The main causes and solutions of wear and tear in pneumatic conveying pipelines

Pneumatic conveying equipment has become one of the important means of conveying powder and granular materials. After years of development and production, enterprises are still very certain about the current situation and future of pneumatic conveying, because the advantages of pneumatic conveying are very obvious, it can adapt to the conveying of various materials and has high power.

Leakage of pneumatic conveying pipelines is a common problem, so manufacturers use seamless steel pipes with high wear resistance when producing pneumatic conveying equipment. However, after long-term use, leakage may still occur due to material wear and tear, which may lead to pipe blockage. This situation should be reflected in the following aspects.

During use, the elbow part comes into contact with other external equipment and wears out, causing pipeline leakage. If the ash discharge door is not tightly closed, the system will also short-circuit. If the sealing ring is not installed correctly during the installation process, or if the clamp ring becomes loose due to pipeline vibration, these reasons can lead to pipeline leakage. Pipeline leakage can cause pipeline blockage, reducing the pressure at the leakage point. Therefore, it is necessary to specifically prevent leakage in pneumatic conveying pipelines.

Taking pipeline wear as an example, the main reasons for the wear of pneumatic conveying pipelines are as follows:

① Friction powder particles impact the pipe wall at a small angle, and the kinetic energy of the impact damages the pipe wall, resulting in minimal wear

② Colliding powder particles with the pipe wall at a nearly vertical angle can cause significant kinetic energy loss, which mostly occurs at bends and connection points, resulting in significant wear. This wear mainly depends on the characteristics of the powder particles themselves and the pipeline

In order to solve the problem of equipment wear and tear, compared with traditional metal materials, wear-resistant ceramic bent pipes with better comprehensive performance stand out, like the "armor" of conveying equipment, protecting the pneumatic conveying system from damage.

Characteristics of wear-resistant ceramic elbows

① High hardness and strength

② Good wear resistance and long service life, reducing the frequency of equipment maintenance, saving a lot of manpower, material resources, and financial resources

③ Impact resistant, able to resist the influence of large materials

④ High temperature resistance, 1500 ℃

⑤ Anti detachment, directly applied to the surface of epoxy resin adhesive or cement, or using professional stud welding process. The steel plate at the bottom of the weld is made of ceramic and combined with strong adhesive to prevent detachment

⑥ Lightweight, easy to install, reduces equipment weight and improves production efficiency

⑦ Widely applicable, anti-wear solutions for pneumatic conveying in various industrial fields
