
Introduction to pneumatic conveying system
1、 System working principle
The positive pressure dense phase pneumatic conveying system uses the positive pressure airflow generated by the Roots blower as the conveying power to transport the materials continuously provided by the rotating feeder from the hopper to the subsequent material bin. The top of the silo is equipped with a dust removal device to separate the materials and gases transported to the silo.
The pneumatic conveying system mainly consists of a feeding system, a gas source system, a conveying pipeline system, a dust removal system, a silo system, and a control system, which can achieve functions such as conveying, metering, mixing, drying, and dust removal. Among them, different components play different roles.

2、 System composition
Feeding system:
The main function of the feeding system is to supply materials and transport them in a closed system. According to different material transportation requirements, different feeding systems can be selected. The feeding system includes rotating feeders, bin pumps, and other equipment.
Pipeline system:
The pipeline system is a pipeline that connects the feeding system and the pneumatic conveying system. The main purpose is to achieve long-distance transportation of materials. When materials require cleanliness of the air source, air filters, dust removal equipment, and other air source purification devices can be added to the pipeline system. The material selection and design of pipelines will directly affect the transportation efficiency of materials, so more consideration should be given in the early stages of design.
Receiving system:
The most important equipment of the receiving system is the silo, which is usually a pyramid or conical structure that can temporarily store and release materials. The design of the silo needs to consider the different issues of materials during storage and unloading, as well as the flow form of materials. The silo includes storage silo, degassing silo, cooling silo, intermediate mixing silo, etc.
Dust removal system:
The dust removal system is related to whether the emissions of the entire pneumatic conveying system meet environmental requirements. Suggest selecting based on different material characteristics and proportions. Otherwise, due to design mismatch, it is easy to result in system emissions not meeting standards. Therefore, professional manufacturers should be selected, and the correct and suitable dust removal equipment can be chosen according to actual needs.
Control system:
The control system mainly realizes the regulation and control of the central feeding system. It is controlled by a programmable controller and can be equipped with an automatic control electrical control system to achieve unmanned control of the entire system, in conjunction with PLC automatic control. By centrally controlling the dust removal, transportation, alarm, and fault shutdown of the system through programming, the operation and control of the system are made more convenient and safe.
