Precautions and causes of faults in the layout of pneumatic conveying pipelines

Suggestions for good pneumatic conveying pipeline layout:

1. As short as possible

2. Make the pipeline strictly vertical or horizontal as much as possible

3. Bend the pipeline as little as possible

4. The turning radius of all pneumatic conveying elbows should be 8d of the pipeline diameter

5. There are sufficient ventilation holes on the receiving box

6. If necessary, place sufficient dust collectors on the receiving box

7. There is sufficient ground clearance at the hose connection to allow the hose to bend naturally

8. The bent pipe is tight and smooth

Reasons for system failure caused by improper arrangement of pneumatic conveying pipelines:

1. Sharp turns or excessive bends

2. Useless bending or turning

3. Close the valve or shunt valve in series

4. Pipeline length exceeds necessary

5. Diagonal ducts that differ from strict horizontal or vertical directions by 5 degrees or more will increase air demand, otherwise it may cause power surges

6. Any leakage in the conveying pipeline will produce similar results or not

7. Insufficient exhaust may lead to pressure accumulation in the receiving tank and may cause it to expand or rupture

8. Adding pipeline connections at the bottom of the hopper overcomes the static pressure of unloading products in the box, greatly reducing the unloading rate

9. Horizontal connection with hose

10. Reduce pipeline size
