Precautions for installation of pneumatic conveying system
The installation of pneumatic conveying system equipment is another important step beyond the design and manufacturing of pneumatic conveying systems. The quality of installation will directly affect the future operation of the system. If installed improperly, the pneumatic conveying system may not function properly. Therefore, it is necessary to attach great importance to the installation of pneumatic conveying systems.
The installation of pneumatic conveying system mainly consists of three parts:
(1) Equipment installation;
(2) Installation of conveying pipelines;
(3) Installation of ash removal equipment.![]()

These three components have the following common characteristics that must be ensured or followed during installation:
1. After all equipment or materials are unpacked, they should be properly stored and handed over to the buyer after installation.
2. All equipment, valves, and piping installations shall be constructed in accordance with the drawings. If adjustments are required, the design unit should be consulted in advance.
3. All pneumatic conveying pipelines must be sealed.
4. Unless otherwise indicated on the drawings, all other pipelines shall be installed according to the process pipeline design.
5. Except for equipment and valves with clear installation locations, the installation of other valves should follow the following principles:
6. The installation position of commonly used valves is convenient for personnel operation, and the most suitable installation height is about 1.2m above the ground.
7. The installation of valves should be as close as possible to the main pipe or equipment.
8. Valves on pipelines should be arranged in parallel.
9. When installing valves, try not to subject them to external loads to avoid excessive stress and damage to the valve.
10. On the premise of not affecting personnel operation, maintenance, and access, the layout of equipment and valves should be as beautiful as possible, leaving a good impression on personnel who work here all year round.
11. All welds in the pneumatic conveying system pipeline: the steel pipe butt welds are U-shaped; The connection between the steel pipe and the flange is a fillet weld; The height of the weld seam is equal to the wall thickness of the steel pipe.
12. For places that require high-altitude operations, such as the installation of ash removal pipes, ash storage facilities, and other equipment, the operating platform should be equipped with corresponding safety measures such as guardrails and ladders, and the staff must undergo safety training.
13. During the installation process, if there are any changes to the original design, the consent of the design unit should be obtained and a record of the changes should be kept.
