Common design errors in dense phase pneumatic systems

Common design errors in dense phase systems include

Is the material suitable for pneumatic conveying systems? Materials suitable for dilute phase pneumatic conveying may not necessarily be suitable for dense phase conveying. In general, reliable dense phase pneumatic conveying systems require special technologies, such as blowing systems, which can help pneumatic conveying proceed more smoothly.

Conduct conveying experiments on materials without prior experience in dense phase conveying to determine the feasibility and reliability of conveying materials. For existing materials, generate high-quality data by testing the operating system in the factory. When testing materials, the following four situations should be ensured:

浓相气力输送

1. Ensure that the test materials are representative

2. Copy the process conditions and ensure the accuracy of normal operations.

3. Consider the variability of materials and apply them to different needs.

4. Conduct testing at a reasonable scale (line diameter and length) to achieve reliable amplification

Improper use of pipeline supports and shock absorbers (for larger systems). Line vibration is an inherent characteristic of dense phase transportation, especially when operating in a clustered flow. Suppliers must provide reliable dynamic load calculations, and civil engineering must consider stresses in the design.

Insufficient airflow control and management may lead to unstable operation, excessive line vibration, and system failures.

Failure to consider the high volume gas flow rate required for cleaning pipelines between products may lead to cross contamination issues. The process filter must be designed for such high blowing flow rates.

The feed rate operation is inconsistent. Compared with the dilute phase system, the regulation ratio of the dense phase system is limited, and the effect is optimal when the feed rate is consistent.

Insufficient circuit connectors. The connector must be sturdy to withstand transmission pressure and line stress to avoid failure.

Compared with traditional conveying systems, pneumatic conveying systems can transport materials with lower costs, less pollution, less maintenance, greater route flexibility, less dust exposure, and smaller footprint. However, proper system design, as well as effective training and regular maintenance plans, are crucial for ensuring efficient and reliable service over the years.
